ATLA has been using STAR since 1999 to develop, maintain, and provide public access to its two major databases, covering bibliographic records, project reports and theses in the field of theological and religious studies.

STAR Sites on the Internet

American Theological Library Association

Established in 1946, the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) is a professional association of more than 1,000 individual, institutional, and affiliate members providing programs, products, and services in support of theological and religious studies libraries and librarians. ATLA's ecumenical membership represents many religious traditions and denominations.

ATLA Preservation Program Catalog Online (APCAT) is a freely searchable database on the ATLA website that contains bibliographic records for more than 30,000 monographs, more than 3,300 serials, and more than 100 archival collections preserved on microform. All of these materials have religious and theological themes. APCAT, which is searchable by keyword, subject, and title, is continually updated and also contains records from current ATLA microfilming projects.
