National Limb Loss Information Center

The National Limb Loss Information Center, Amputee Coalition of America, based in Knoxville, TN, is a national, nonprofit organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA, which was incorporated in 1989, includes individual amputees, amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees, and amputation or limb loss related agencies and organizations. Its guiding principle is that education enables individuals who have lost a limb to participate knowledgeably in decisions about their own care, services and outcomes. The ACA exists to provide this education.

The National Limb Loss Information Center (NLLIC), which is operated by ACA and funded by the Langeloth Foundation, provides comprehensive information resources about limb loss and secondary conditions. The NLLIC Library Catalog provides academic, research, and consumer-related materials for both limb loss consumers and health care providers.

The NLLIC Library Catalog provides bibliographic citations, with abstracts and some full text, to academic, research, and consumer-related books, journals, newsletters, manuals, reports, videos, electronic resources, and other materials covering limb loss and secondary conditions.
